| MOVIE REVIEW: UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT (1974) |

First off, I should admit that I watched this movie on BET. i.e. I
should've been suspicious right from the start. They just don't have
the budget to be getting the rights to anything REALLY good. Let's
just say I was suckered in by the ad for it: Bill Cosby (with scruffy
beard & afro), Sidney Poitier, Flip Wilson, Richard Pryor... all
on nice Technicolor film stock. How could a fella lose?
